Here is the layout of my Dad and I when we went clam digging last week (Spring Break)-March 22nd. Clams are one of my favorite foods, and when I was little, Dad use to take me clam digging (when we both felt like it). It is good quality work time with dad, and unfortunately, it hurts! ROFL-leaning over the entire time killed my back. We got about half a bucket-about a half hours worth of work, and then cooked them the next night. Mom cut up onion, celery, added garlic, salt, pepper, and dill =the best nectar and the tastiest clams every. I actually tried dipping mine in vinegar and butter this time, and they tasted wonderful! One thing about AZ-there aren't many clams, and the ones that are here are expensive and not worth it (most days). I am back to work after Spring Break. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But, there are 44 days left.
Also, Mom and I are doing South Beach as the way to "change our eating habits". We are avoiding the word "diet" because that never works. So far, this is day three for me, and I have been doing well. I accidentally ate the croutons in my salad without realizing it, but other than that, I think I have stayed on track.
Enjoy!
