Happy New Year! As usual, it is time for the new goals for the year. Last year I made 5 goals. I did achieve a few of them and some partially:
1.) I did get my ELL cert on my certificate!
2.) I found a playgroup for Macy: Busybodies. We go every Saturday.
Partially Achieved:
1.) I completed the 2007 scrapbook, but I haven't sent it off to Heritage Makers yet.
2.) I only worked out an average about once a week. Not consistently either. But, I did do something.
Not Achieved:
-didn't even start on the heritage album. Too scary!
This year, I have some others I would like to achieve:
1.) Establish a monthly cleaning schedule for the house. I am tired of picking up and cleaning at one time. I will follow the cleaning schedule that I create.
2.) Send the 2007 Scrapbook to Heritage Makers. I need to get these down in a permanent book.
3.) I will walk for 30 minutes twice a week and use Wii Fitness twice a week for 20 minutes (strength or balance). This is for my health. I do not want to be pre-diabtic.
4.) I will not eat any candy at work this year. I will only eat sweets when they are home-made or out of the ordinary. This is also for my health. I suspect this alone will help me drop a few pounds this year.
5.) I will go to Starbucks once a week only. This is for our budget. Last year I spent an average of $50 a month on coffee, lunches, etc. That could have been spending money on a vacation.
Well, that is it. I have a good feeling about these this year. I think I can reasonable accomplish all of them (the cleaning one will be tough).
Our New Year's Day started off great. Chris had to work for a few hours, so Macy and I watched some cartoons and played doll house. When Chris came home, we all took naps and then played outside while he mowed the lawn. Macy played with her new bubble mower (she loves it). We also went for a walk around the neighborhood. Then, we all went for a nice dinner at Fleming's Steak House. Macy ate about 3 large shrimp, a ton of mashed potatos and bread. She only ate a few mushrooms, but she loved the fruit and chantilly cream. I had lobster and lamb, and Chris had a rib eye. We had the best lemon ginger cake (frozen) for dessert. On the way out, Chris accidentally put their doodle pro in our diaper bag. I had to return it (he felt silly). Thankfully, I did that, because Macy had a huge diaper blow out when we got home, and Chris had to clean it up! Phew-got out of that one!
