Yeehaw! School is out for summer! The last two weeks with the kids were rough, but now its over and I can relax and recuperate-kinda. Staying busy for the first couple weeks though. I am going to my TAH grant Cold War seminar and workshops all week. Tomorrow a bunch of us are going to the Titan Missile Museum in Tucson. Should be fun. Then, the rest of the week, we are going to attend lectures by a few professors who are flying in, working on curriculum, etc.
Then, the week of June 1-4, I will be working on both 7th grade curriculum and Geography elective curriculum through the district. That will be paid, so it will bring in a little extra money to spend on vacation.
Finally, the week of June 8-11th, I will be attending the Write for the Future Thinking Maps training. Not sure if that is paid. It was last year. Not counting on it though. But, I know I will learn tons, and everyone says that is fantastic and inspiring.
This last weekend was good. We didn't really do much-went shopping, fiddled in the yard (starting to get hot), and went out to eat. Chris left today for Tampa, so that is a bummer. He will be back on Friday though.
Here are a few pages I scrapped from our camping trip to Lake Mary last weekend. Macy was awesome!
