The cabin was cozy though-it had a fire place-although it was dark and there weren't enough lights to read well at night. When we got there, we unpacked and rested. At night we read, and the last night we were there, we had a fire. It rained every night, with thunder and lightening showers, so it was cozy. We also had some hot cocoa to round out the feel of a wilderness cabin. Dad, Chris and I took fly fishing lessons at the Greer Lodge. It was fun to learn! Dad and I didn't catch any fish, but Chris did. After that, we fished some of the Little Colorado. Chris caught enough trout to have for breakfast-and dad caught one fish from the stream-not bad, considering he doesn't like to fish from a stream. We went for hikes with Macy-and we even took her fishing. She seemed to enjoy the walks-she takes in all the views. We went out to dinner at the Greer Lodge-it was pretty tasty-although pricey for being in the middle of nowhere. The rest of the time, we ate, napped, and read. It was nice to relax and finally get away from the heat (and the house)!
