Well, I have been busy (and lazy) lately, so haven't written much.
First of all, school is out in a few days and I can't wait! I am getting tired of the kids behaviors (little bastards) and it has been a stressful last week. We had a 2 hour lockdown on Monday and it turned out to be some prank from some Peoria HS punk kid. Try hanging out with a bunch of 17 year olds for 2 hours straight, in the dark, on the floor.
Yesterday I took my four seniors on a field trip to see the movie United 93. It was good, but of course, totally depressing. The entire time I watched the movie, I had the same feelings I had on 9/11. Primarily feelings of despair and anxiety AND I was depressed the entire rest of the day. The kids thought it was ok-. Fortunately, the field trip went well over all.
Chris and I went camping last weekend up at Amherst(Ashurst)? Lake near Flagstaff last weekend. It was really nice to get away and hang out. We took a nap, went fishing, went for night drives and I got to read quite a bit. Chris went fishing at Beaver Creek near Sedona and caught a few brook trout. I fell on my ass in the middle of the stream. Good times.
We also went on a hike near Wet Beaver Creek about two weeks ago. It was hot, and mostly desert hiking, but the stream was nice.
We also went over to John and Linda's this last Sunday for dinner. We got to see Erik and Roxanne. I had a good time playing with them and hanging out. They are so frigging cute!
Nothing much else going on. I think I accomplished every one of my goals this year except for losing weight. I joined sparkpeople.com which is a website where you can keep track of nutrition and weight loss. So far I have counted calories for 8 days. It is fast and easy.
As for my mood, I have been kinda restless. Not really sure why. I don't really want to scrap or read, or play on the computer for long (if at all). Probably need to excercise. Hopefully, I will snap out of it soon.
The new job is looking up. Turned in all my paperwork and I am meeting one of the FACS teachers next Thursday to take a tour of the school and the kitchen lab, pick up the schedule, the curriculum and what not. Should be fun! Dominque, the lady I spoke with, seems friendly and kind, and she loves working there (which is good)!
