I suck at updating my blog atm

So, I haven't been writing. Glad that is over with now. I was reading some of my past blogs, and it looks like I need to revisit some goals for this year.

So far, I have a new teaching job. My first job , at North High School in the Phoenix Union High School District, didn't end up working out. They would only give me a emergency certificate for FACS through December, and that was it. It made me very anxious, and the entire month of June all I did was wring my hands trying to decide what to do. So, I downloaded a bunch of applications and began filling them out. Diamond Canyon Elementary in the Deer Valley School District gave me an interview, and it went really well. It was only supposed to be for 15 minutes, but it ended up being an hour. They told me that I was supposed to hear from them two days after, but it took like a week-so that entire time I was riding the rollercoaster. That is what happens when you put all of your eggs in one career basket. Fortunately, I got the job, and my orientation is tomorrow! I can't wait. I know that I will feel so much better working there (I already do) in comparision to DPA (my old school). I am totally excited for my orientation too! I have even started to think about lesson planning. New Years Resolution #1=ACHIEVED!

Another goal, the tile floor, is complete. We have landscaped the backyard too now, so that is finished as well. We still need to do the countertops and the cabinets, and paint. I think paint is the most realistic goal for the rest of the year. I think countertops and cabinets will be a remodel goal for next year. New Years Resolution #2=Revised for achievement!

Weight loss goals-sucking it so far. Today should be the last day, as I just signed up for Jenny Criag and I start tomorrow. My mom is on it and is losing weight. She likes the food and says it it so easy. Everything is preplanned and all the meals are quick. My goal weight is 130. I am hoping to get there by the end of October, and if for some reason that doesn't work, the end of the year. I am tired of not being able to wear half the clothes in my closet. Most of the time I walk around feeling like Chunk from Goonies, so this program should change all that. New Years Resolution #3-Sucking the donger!

Heritage Scrapbook-lol, yeah right. I have the album, and I did one page. But, I haven't printed it yet. That album really scares me. I want to incorporate all of my genealogical information, but I am not sure how to do it. I need to research it, but I haven't been motivated yet to do it. I haven't scrapped at all this summer, mainly because my computer sucks, and I need to print my pages off, but I have been to Costco, blah blah blah. New Years Resolution #4-Haven't even started sucking the donger hehe!

Traveling-well, I have been to Vegas twice and Canada twice this year. I think I will be going with Chris to San Antonio here in a few weeks too. Other than that, I doubt I am making it to South America or the Caribbean. I think our big trip will be next year. New Years Resolution #5-Revised for achievement.

As for other news, Chris and I just got back from visiting my parents and going with them to Vancouver Island, Canada. Here is the link to the resort that we stayed at. It was beautiful. Chris caught a 15 pound fish (the picture), and we saw deer, DOLPHINS(woot), eagles, seals, and ORCAS (woot)! The house we stayed in was great, and it had a private hot tub, but we only used it once. The drive up was horrible, and we were all snapping and snarling at each other by the time we got to the resort. Chris and Dad took a charter the first day, while Mom and I read books. Mom and I ended up getting a lava stone massage (the best I have ever had) and I went fishing about 4 times. We went out to dinner at the restaurant there for our anniversary, and I had this wonderful thai mussels and scallops meal. The rest of the time we either read, fished, slept, or ate. Canada was expensive, because the American dollar sucks right now, but I would go again once its value increased. We are actually talking about going to Alaska next year.

Also, I have attached other photos from our trip that I am pleased with.
