36 Weeks

Yay! The crib and changing table are now set up. Chris also put the rug down, so now Macy's room looks like a real nursery. We still have to hang the mobile and the butterfly decorations, cap the curtain rods and buy a lamp-we plan on doing this tomorrow.

Becki and Kathy at work held a baby shower for us. We have about 15 outfits, 6-8 different toys, sweat outfits for me, diapers, hair holders, and a ton of socks. It was very nice to have, even though I told them I didn't want one.

My last two NST's have gone well. They have only taken about 20 minutes so far, and Macy looks great! We went and had a fetal growth ultrasound, and Macy was 6lb 13 oz on Tuesday, so she is probably a hair over 7lbs now. Hopefully, next Tuesday, Dr. McKernan and I can settle on an inducement date-since Macy is now in the heads down position.

I move slower now than I used to. It sucks. I am still sleeping well (knock on wood), but on the half days when I come home from work, I am tired and I usually take a nap. I can only do work around the house for about 10-15 minutes at a time before my tummy gets tight and I feel some contractions.

This last week we went to City Hall for a fantastic dinner with Chris's friend Sean from UPS. He works for the Mariners in the Comm. Relations department. He brought a couple of coworkers with him to dinner again on Friday (we went to the Yardhouse), and it was funny to see how excited he was to see a lacrosse game.

Our last baby class was this Thursday. We learned about car seat safety, how to choose a pediatrician, and baby care. Chris learned how to change a diaper and give a sponge bath. We also learned about all the different types of poop that Macy might have, and then learned how to swaddle babies into a burrito. Overall, the class series was good, and I feel much more informed.

This week I need to pack and we need to install the car seat. We also need to buy a safety gate and some nursing equipment-and learn about the stroller. I am hoping that I can be induced around March 16th (or c-section). I am tired of being pregnant and just looking forward to Macy's arrival!
